Oh damn, you don’t mess around haha.
wow. You said everything that has to be told. Honestly you should be a philosopher.
Like you said, we are never completely free. We are always slaves to something or someone. It could be your own desires, society, media.
Everyone has their own definition of freedom, I don’t think freedom can be directly defined because we all see freedom through different angles.
Non believers may think that we are enslaved by our books, that we are prisoned by the rules we live by, while “believers” on the other hand thinks that non believers are slaves to their animalistic desires. When something is forbidden in Islam (or any other religion in general) it always has its reasons. Our freedom is our religion. We obey the laws of the one who created us.
People may for example think that hijabis are oppressed, that we feel like we are forced to wear hijab because our religion tells us to cover ourselves…not knowing that it actually frees us. What about all those magazines with half naked women. Who told them to undress and pose like that?
Atheists may think that they are free, but if they only knew how imprisoned they are by society. I am not saying that I’m not a slave to this society, we all are unless we live in a Muslim country with shari’a laws.
Freedom and religion goes perfectly hand in hand because we see our religion as our freedom. The rules that we live by, frees us from the rules/standards that media/society puts on everyone.
